Saturday 14 July 2012 saw round five of the Bank Windhoek Namibian National Series. The Sat-Com Albrechtshöhe event held on the Meyer farm in the Karibib district with 78 competitors lining up to take on the track nicknamed the rocky horror race. With the halfway stage passed and the numbers still consistent it shows the commitment of the riders and organizers to keep developing and the level being upped with this challenging track. Not even the cold weather could dampen the competitor’s spirit.

In the open national class Ingo Waldschmidt showed his experience keeping the bike and himself together to take the win with some competitors suffering mechanical and tire problems during the race and so recorded the fastest lap time for National motorcycles. Fanie Steenkamp recorded the fastest lap for quad bikes over the 43km course and maintaining his unbeaten record for the season.

In the 200cc Class it was Claude Brendel (KTM) who secured victory ahead of Sven Schneidenberger (KTM) and Derik Clark (KTM) in second and third respectively.
In the open class it was Ingo Waldschmidt (KTM) who secured victory ahead of Björn Bierbrauer (Honda) and Therold Murch (KTM) in second and third respectively.
In the National Quad Class it was Class Windzor Huselman (Honda) who secured victory.
In the Ladies Quad Class it was Maike Bochert (Honda) who secured the victory ahead of Shannon Rowland (Honda) in second and Julia Moths in third.
In the National Senior Bike Class it was Andreas Brendel (KTM) who secured victory ahead of Eckhard Waldschmidt (KTM) and Kai Hohmeier (KTM) in second and third respectively.
In the National Senior Quad Class it was Fanie Steenkamp (Honda) who secured victory over Clinton Hilfiker (Yamaha) and Yana de Jesus (Honda) in second and third respectively.
In the Support Bikes it was Glen Brown (KTM) who secured victory ahead of Pascal Henle (KTM) and G. Simon in second and third respectively.
In the Support Quad Class it was Enrico Malan (Yamaha) who secured victory ahead of Dian van der Merwe and Jurgen Schonker in second and third respectively.
In the Junior Quads it was Lotario van Wyk (Yamaha) who secured victory over Zan-Marie Schonker.
In the farmers or class 10 batle it was Eugene Koen (Yamaha) who secured victory over Frank Schneidenberger (Kawasaki) and Julia Menthrup (Honda) in second and third respectively.

The next race in the Bank Windhoek Namibian National Enduro Series will take place on 11 August in Windhoek.
